Sir Nick Faldo shares his Royal Troon memories and looks ahead to The 145th Open, live on Sky Sports. Troon is a special course and a place which holds a lot of memories for me. The strongest of those is me coming here as a 16-year-old and sitting at the back of the range, which was much smaller then.I was watching the likes of Gary Player, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Lee Trevino and then ran around all day on Sunday watching Tom Weiskopf. Open on Sky Ways to watch The Open live on Sky Sports Spending time here was a huge experience for me as I learnt to start mimicking their swings, which I then took back to Welwyn Garden City and practised like a lunatic! It was that which inspired me and made my early practice so much fun. Those early memories obviously lead to me moving on and going on to play four Opens here, where I managed a couple of decent runs. I came close when I finished tied-fourth in the first one way back in 1982, although Im not sure I ever really felt like I was in with a shout. A lot of guys are talking about Branden Grace because he hits it low and so far off the ground. Thats going to be a big help and if anyone can do that consistently, then theyll have a good chance. Sir Nick Faldo Troon is a tough course and I hope the weather stays difficult, but not impossible. There are a couple of scary tee shots out there and Id say theres more tough holes than easy ones after the turn. When I walked the course on Tuesday, I realised theres a lot going on in that back nine and youve got to be a strong player to play it.The front nine sets up so well because you can see it and everythings well defined, but as soon as you reach the 10th tee you cant see a thing! The 11th is the same, the 13th and 15th are both very demanding, and then theres the 18th too. Faldo says this years players will need to hold their nerve if they are to do well at Royal Troon Youre going to have to be a strong ball-striker here this week and keep the ball on the right trajectory all day long, as if you start to miss a few then youre going to be in real trouble. You have to knuckle down all week and have to go out and prove you can do it, regardless of whether youre coming in to the tournament as one of the favourites or not. If Dustin Johnson can drive like he has been then its going to be a big help, but I think a few guys can hit knuckle balls here and run it down the fairway.A fast start will help you bank a few birdies and get a few under par, and then you have to play your heart out coming in. Johnson has won his past two events Obviously the top few in the world all come in to this week playing good and are playing smartly, but I try to look at some of the other guys and some of the darker names are very interesting.A lot of guys are talking about Branden Grace because he hits it low and so far off the ground. Thats going to be a big help and if anyone can do that consistently, then theyll have a good chance. There are quite a few guys like that and Jason Dufner is another, as he hits it long and can also take advantage of Troons slow greens. Could Grace claim a maiden major title this week? The superstars obviously will take all the media for the first couple of days, but then there will be a few guys undoubtedly sneaking in in under the radar.Ill be involved for Sky over the week and Ill be doing a lot for Golf Channel too, so Ill be keeping busy!Watch The Open throughout the week live on Sky Sports - your new home of The Open. LUCIE, Fla. Jim Kelly Jersey .ca! Hi Kerry, Im sure youve received many emails wondering what your take is on the Spezza goal that looked like Neil blatantly kicked it in while standing directly in the middle of the crease where, you know, usually a goalie is to make a save but couldnt be due to Neil being there! Thanks! Jon - Westfield, MA Jon: Lets first ask Henrik Lundqvist what he thought of the scoring of the Sens second goal with . Russell Bodine Jersey . - Zac Leslie scored two goals and assisted on two more, and Justin Nichols made 34 saves as the Guelph Storm blanked the Kitchener Rangers 6-0 in Ontario Hockey League action on Sunday.(Sports Network) - The Toronto Blue Jays will look to make it two in a row against the New York Yankees as they continue their three game series. Lefty J.A. Happ will take the mound for the Jays, while the Yankees will counter with veteran Andy Pettitte. R.A. Dickey gave up two runs -- one earned -- on six hits and three walks over 6 1/3 innings of work in the Jays series opening 5-2 win over the Yankees. Edwin Encarnacion drove in two runs as the Blue Jays picked up their second straight win following a seven-game slide. Toronto also beat New York for the first time since April 21 at home. The Jays recent 10-game slide to the Yankees included getting swept last week in four games at the Bronx, where the club is 0-10 this year. "We want to finish the season strong," Torontos Jose Reyes said. "Every win from now on is going to be huge." J.A. Happ fell to 2-1 with a 5.46 ERA in five career encounters with the Yankees after giving up four runs on three hits and five walks over 5 1/3 innings. "I just walked two guys in the sixth inning and cost us the ball game," Happ noted. "I felt good making pitches, doing everything I could. I felt good about the way the game was going. Some crazy stuff happened in this game that Im just not going to talk about." The 30-year-old is 1-1 with a 5.40 ERA in four games since coming back from injury and 3-3 on the campaign with a 5.10 ERA in 11 starts. Having Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez in the lineup together for the first time this season did not result in a win for the New York Yankees. Things seemed to tilting towards New York on Monday night, as they were set to have Jeter in the lineup for only the sixth time this year. The shortstop hhas had three stints on the disabled list due to various leg ailments and went 0- for-3 with a walk in his first game since Aug.dddddddddddd 2. Manager Joe Girardi is expected to keep his eye on Jeters health in an effort to keep him healthy for the stretch run. The 39-year-old reported no problems after last nights contest. "I always feel like I can play," Jeter said. "I havent talked to (Girardi). My job here is to play, so Ill come here ready to play (Tuesday)." Rodriguez, meanwhile, hit his 650th career homer, 10 shy of Willie Mays for fourth on baseballs all-time list, but it was a solo shot and New York did little else against Toronto starter R.A. Dickey in a 5-2 loss. New York, meanwhile, lost for the third time in four games and sits 4 1/2 games back of the second wild card spot in the American League. It also is 7 1/2 contests back of first place in the AL East. Phil Hughes remained winless since July 2 after allowing five runs -- three earned thanks to an error by Ichiro Suzuki -- on seven hits and three walks over 4 2/3 innings for the Yankees, "Every time I feel like Im making progress ... it seems like I have these kind of hiccups," Hughes said. Andy Pettitte defeated Torontos J.A. Happ last Thursday to cap off the four- game sweep in New York and rematches with the left-hander tonight. Pettitte has won consecutive outings since going winless in five straight starts. He won for the first time since mid-July with a 10-3 decision in Boston on Aug. 16, then bested the Blue Jays with six innings of one-run ball in a 5-3 decision. The 41-year-old lefty is 9-9 with a 4.26 earned run average in 23 starts this year and has won both of his outings versus the Blue Jays in 2013.
